Sri Lanka's Brutal Fight

What use is the UN if it begins to take action once autrocities have already occurred? Are they hoping that this will discourage war criminals from committing their acts? But is a war criminal really going to stop their fighting because of the possibility that they could be tried? I think we can see that this is not the case.

Below is a short clip introducing the special investigation held by Channel 4 in the UK into the war crimes conducted by both sides. This investigation was shown last Friday to the UN Human Rights Council.

It is at least comforting to see how some of those officials show emotion as they watch the brutal reality exposed in the investigation.
